Electrolytes for birds
NEKTON Electrolyte is an electrolyte mixture that has been specially
developed to maintain a good fluid and electrolyte balance of the bird after high
physical exertion.
The electrolyte mixture contains important electrolytes that quickly balance fluid
levels and help birds to regenerate and recover more quickly after dehydration and
high physical exertion (such as competition flights) and after intense heat.
During hot weather and heavy flights, there is a high loss of body fluid. Body fluid
consists mainly of water and electrolytes. Electrolytes are minerals with an electrical
charge when they are dissolved in a liquid. The most important electrolytes in the
body include the positively charged cations sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium,
as well as the negatively charged anions chloride, bicarbonate and phosphate. These
electrolytes help to regenerate nerve and muscle function and keep the acid-base
balance and water balance stable.
Feeding recommendation
0.5-1 g per 100 ml of water.
Use for 3-5 days. Mix fresh daily
Can be administered both before and after training. In case of diarrhoea, administer
for a maximum of 5 days.
