Mode of Action:
Detia Natural Insect Powder targets all crawling insects and arachnids. When insects come into contact with the silica dust, it accumulates primarily in the joints of the crawling arthropods. The silica particles destroy the evaporation-inhibiting wax surface and have a strong abrasive and adsorptive effect. Fine injuries to the wax layer allow body fluids to escape, causing the arthropods to die from dehydration within a short time. Due to the bio-physical mode of action and the rapid reduction of reproductive potential, the development of resistance can be ruled out. Already resistant strains can be effectively controlled without restrictions.
Application Areas:
Detia Natural Insect Powder is used in the hiding and resting places of pests without treating the house or farm animals themselves. Sleeping areas, laying nests, and other hiding places of parasites are directly dusted. Enclosures should be made accessible and thoroughly treated. Do not forget the undersides of perches, etc.! Dosage and Application Technique:
A uniform white coating should be visible on all treated surfaces. In laying hen housing, apply approximately 20 g/m² for floor housing and about 30 g/m² for cage housing (depending on the number of cage rows) according to the level of infestation and degree of contamination. For large-scale applications, suitable compressor-operated dust guns are used, while for small-scale applications, hand-operated bellows or pump dusters are used. During the dusting process, existing ventilation should be turned off until the dust has settled (approx. 1 hour).
Note:
