Detia Natural Insect Powder is a highly effective solution for combating crawling insects and arachnids. It is ideal for use in homes, gardens, and stables. The powder is effective against a wide range of pests, including red poultry mites, fleas, lice, bedbugs, feather lice, hair lice, ants, and cockroaches. Thanks to its purely bio-physical mode of action, it is safe for humans and animals and prevents the development of resistance.
Benefits for the User at a Glance:
- High and long-lasting effectiveness
- Pure bio-physical effectiveness
- No resistance formation
- No waiting time
- Safe for humans and animals
Mode of Action:
Detia Natural Insect Powder targets all crawling insects and arachnids. When insects come into contact with the silica dust, it accumulates primarily in the joints of the crawling arthropods. The silica particles destroy the evaporation-inhibiting wax surface and have a strong abrasive and adsorptive effect. Fine injuries to the wax layer allow body fluids to escape, causing the arthropods to die from dehydration within a short time. Due to the bio-physical mode of action and the rapid reduction of reproductive potential, the development of resistance can be ruled out. Already resistant strains can be effectively controlled without restrictions.
Application Areas:
Detia Natural Insect Powder is used in the hiding and resting places of pests without treating the house or farm animals themselves. Sleeping areas, laying nests, and other hiding places of parasites are directly dusted. Enclosures should be made accessible and thoroughly treated. Do not forget the undersides of perches, etc.! Detia Natural Insect Powder can also be used in organic farms.
Dosage and Application Technique:
A uniform white coating should be visible on all treated surfaces. In laying hen housing, apply approximately 20 g/m² for floor housing and about 30 g/m² for cage housing (depending on the number of cage rows) according to the level of infestation and degree of contamination. For large-scale applications, suitable compressor-operated dust guns are used, while for small-scale applications, hand-operated bellows or pump dusters are used. During the dusting process, existing ventilation should be turned off until the dust has settled (approx. 1 hour).
Note:
To detect a possible mite infestation in time, the use of Biolock sticky traps is recommended. Treatment with Detia Natural Insect Powder should be repeated if pests reappear, as feather dust and contaminants can reduce the effectiveness of the preparation. Re-treatment is also necessary at humidity levels above 75%.
Storage:
Store the product absolutely dry in the resealed original container. Loss of effectiveness and duration of action due to chemical degradation is not expected with this product. Detia Natural Insect Powder is indefinitely shelf-stable under the specified storage conditions. Since the application conditions are not under the control of the manufacturer and distributor, liability is limited to the consistent quality of the preparation.
User Protection:
Despite the product's safety, avoid unnecessary contact with the substance.
Mode of Action:
The product has a strong drying effect against crawling pests and is applied to the preferred pathways and hiding places of the pests. The pests dust themselves through their own
