Vitamin preparation for plumage development for all birds
NEKTON-Biotin supports a smooth moulting process and the formation of new feathers. NEKTON-Biotin contains all essential vitamins, amino acids, minerals, trace elements and 200,000 µg biotin/kg. NEKTON-Biotin gives the bird a smooth and shiny plumage. The majority of plumage damage occurring in bird keeping is exclusively due to nutritional errors. As the plumage consists of protein-containing substance, a particularly rich and balanced protein diet is a prerequisite for the formation of flawless plumage. For a functioning metabolism, the daily feed must contain sufficient vitamins, minerals and trace elements. The majority of animal losses that occur during moulting are due to insufficient or unbalanced protein intake and/or an inadequate supply of vitamins and minerals. The composition of NEKTON-Biotin explicitly takes into account and balances the unfavourable ratio of amino acids in most plant-based feeds.
No other multivitamin preparation should be administered during the use of NEKTON-Biotin. NEKTON-Biotin is soluble in cold water and can easily be administered via the drinking water or soft feed.
Feeding recommendation
1 g NEKTON-Biotin to 250 ml water or 100 g soft food.
It is recommended to prepare only as much drinking water/soft food as the bird consumes daily and to change the water/feed daily.
- Dissolve in water
- Sprinkle on the food
One level measuring spoon (enclosed) corresponds to 1 g NEKTON-Biotin.
In the case of severe plumage damage, double or triple the dose of NEKTON-Biotin can be given at the beginning until the onset of new plumage formation is visible. The normal dose is then given until the plumage regeneration is complete.
This supplementary feed may only be fed to birds up to 5 % of the daily ration due to the higher content of vitamin D and trace elements compared to complete feeds.
