It is easy to recognise external injuries to your bird, which can occur during transport,
after an operation, endoscopy or even during a fight with its cage mate. Skin injuries
are often caused by cage accessories or damaged bars. Although your bird will not
suffer as much from visible, perhaps even bleeding injuries as from an organic disease,
SC 40 should be used to ensure that wounds heal quickly in order to protect against
infection. Sore feet and open pressure points are often the result of smooth and
uniform cage bars. This means that the ankle is always stressed in the same place.
This is often accompanied by obesity, lack of exercise and circulatory disorders.
In most cases, all these factors are causally linked.
If you notice that your bird frequently switches from one leg to the other, rests
one foot or the diseased foot is visibly swollen and warm, this indicates open pressure
points which you should treat with SC 40. Eliminate the possible causes by, for
example, providing a variety of cage accessories, using natural branches as a replacement
for the bars supplied and providing sufficient exercise.
SC 40 (especially in combination with propolis) also helps the bird to regenerate
quickly in the event of general exertion and exhaustion, as can be observed after
  breeding, transport or exhibitions.
If the female suffers from acute egg loss, this may be due to temperature fluctuations,
poor musculature in the oviduct and cloacal area or simply because the egg is too
  large or has no shell.
However, too much noise, lack of movement, unsuitable nesting material or too little
lime can also cause egg loss. SC 40 - if possible diluted in water using a pipette
  - provides a quick remedy. You can also support the laying process with heat by
  using a red light lamp!
