Colds can easily be caused by draughts, a change of cage location or strong temperature fluctuations. These can be recognised, for example, by the swollen eye area, eye and nose openings clogged with secretions or purulent inflammations on the conjunctiva. The birds often rub their heads on the cage bars as there is itching around the eyes caused by draughts or an infection. The bird makes a sick, lethargic overall impression, the plumage is ruffled.
SC 30 activates the natural defences and helps the organism to overcome the cold. It is advisable to alternate the administration of SC 50 drops in order to achieve the quickest possible recovery.
Throat or crop infections can be caused by ingesting contaminated food or foreign bodies. However, they may also indicate an infection with trichomonads or mould infestation of the air sacs (also known as aspergillosis, especially in parrots). In this case, veterinary advice must be sought. However, if a non-infectious sore throat is present, which manifests itself in gagging, spasmodic swallowing or vomiting of mucous secretions, we can provide relief with SC 30.
It contains, among other things, pokeweed (Phytolacca), a plant native to North America, and belladonna, a nightshade plant that has healing properties when highly diluted.
Sole ulcers appear on the most heavily loaded area and are due to injuries or infectious causes. The skin shows oedema, abscesses, thick scabs or calluses. With SC 30 you can have a favourable effect on the healing of these sole ulcers.
